Install Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy S2 I9100G [official XXLSR firmware]

This guide shows you how to install Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy S2 I9100G. Use a Windows PC with USB drivers installed, you can use Samsung KIES to install to drivers and be sure to backup everything of smartphone because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #2: Download the Odin3 v3.04 (Odin3_v3.04.zip) to your PC and unzip it into same folder.
Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #4: Turn the device off.
Step #5: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down volume down, home and power buttons until the phone turns on with a warning screen, then press volume up button to enter in download mode.
Step #5: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #6: Click on PDA Button and locate I9100GXXLSR_I9100GXXLSP_I9100GXEFLSR_HOME.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #7: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #8: If your device reboot into normal mode, you’re done, enjoy! But if you device gets stuck at boot screen, you need to perform wipe, to do so, turn off device, then reboot into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave power button but not volume down until you enter in recovery mode. In recovery mode, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen. Once it done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
