The MIUI Jelly Bean custom ROM has been out for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, MIUI is now based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it comes with unique and stunning users interface and it has very useful features like theme manager app that gives a beautiful look to your Verizon Galaxy Nexus, privacy security features, call and SMS apps with optimized options, stunning home launcher app and many other useful apps.

Your Verizon Galaxy Nexus’s bootloader must be unlocked and ClockworkMod recovery also should be installed on your phone, use this toolkit to unlock bootloader and install recovery. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [Official Page ], you need to download the “toro” version of MIUI under the 4.1.x.

Step #2: Transfer .zip file to phone.

Step #3: Turn off phone and reboot the device into recovery mode volume up, volume down and power buttons.

Step #5: In recovery mode, perform nandroid backup of your current ROM, if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, it will make you able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.

Step #7: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in second above step and confirm installation.

Step #8: Once the installation is done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
