Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean CM10 on LG Optimus GT540
CyaongenMod 10 is now porting to LG smartphones, after LG Optimus S, the CyanogenMod 10 has been arrived for LG Optimus GT540, based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, thanks to senior XDA developer member DevSwift1. However the ROM is in early stages and not stable for daily use. The ROM has some bugs like CAMERA, HEADPHONES and CODECS aren’t working, you may also face some problems in locked SIM cards. But it’s worthy for LG Optimus GT540 to taste Android 4.1 Jelly Bean CM10.
Read on how to install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean CyanogenMod 10 on LG Optimus GT540. Keep in mind that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged. Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK] and copy to your SD card.
Step #2: Turn the device off.
Step #3: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down home and power buttons until screen turns on (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #4: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #5: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen.
Step #6: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #7: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
