Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Nexus S [SDK Port]
After Nexus S 4G the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is now also available for the Nexus S via a custom port that will bring a beautiful interface to your smartphone, many things are working fine but both ROMs are similar, this ROM is also in development stage and has same bugs like audio, Wifi, GSM, and libwvm aren’t working currently.
The ROM isn’t ready for daily use and since this is SDK port, it’s just for preview but if you really want to taste the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, you can follow the below guide to install this port on your Nexus S. Before installation first make sure that your device is rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed and be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here to PC and copy the file to the SD card of the phone.
Step #2: Turn the device off and reboot the device into recovery mode (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #3: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #4: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #5: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #6: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
That’s it, you’re done.
