Install Android 4.2 CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM for AT&T Galaxy S3
The CyanogenMod 10.1 has finally been arrived for your AT&T Galaxy S3 that allows you to taste Android 4.2.1 Jelly Beans, thanks to recognized XDA developer itsmikeramsay for porting an unofficial CM10.1 build to AT&T Galaxy S3.
The CyanogenMod 10.1 is packed with a lot of customization options that allow you to optimize the interface of your phone according to your personal choice while offering useful apps such as file manager, Apollo music player app, etc. Android 4.2 also comes with handy new features such as gesture-based keyboard, panorama photography mode, improved performance, improved Google Now app and more.
However the ROM is still under development and many things aren’t working properly currently such as Camera, tethering, MTP Support, Bluetooth is sporadic, Headphone jack for calls and lockscreen shortcuts FC when setting “System Icons” outside of Stock Theme. But hopefully the developer will iron out all bugs soon in near future.
This guide shows you how to install CyanogenMod 10.1 for AT&T Galaxy S3, make sure the TWRP recovery is installed on your phone, don’t try other recoveries for this build, you can follow our this guide to install TWRP recovery. Backup everything because because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so.

Step #1: Download the latest version of CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM from here [XDA Link] and Google Apps package.
Step #2: Place both zip files to the internal storage of your phone.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup” and slide the blue button to confirm action.
Step #6: Perform wipe, select “wipe”, then select factory reset and confirm it.
Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #8: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded ROM file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #9: Once the ROM zip file is installed on your T-Mobile Galaxy S3, repeat previous step again and install the Google Apps package zip file in the same manner.
Step #10: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
