How To Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on Sprint Galaxy S3 L710 Manually
Samsung Sprint Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 KitKat update is finally being rolled out officially. And you can grab the update via OTA (over-the-air). The latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for your Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 is available with firmware version L710VPND8.
However if you are not comfortable with OTA notification, you can flash it manually. This guide will walk you through how to install Sprint Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 KitKat update manually. Make sure you are not a rooted user and running on a stock recovery instead of any custom recovery like TWRP and CWM.
You should be on stock unmodified MK3 rom. Keep in mind that it will take you to a new Knox bootloader and break root access. Please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Download the official Sprint Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 KitKat L710VPND8 OTA update from here.
Step #2: Place the download zip file into root’s storage of your phone (do not place in any folder, place on root’s storage).
Step #3: Turn your Samsung Galaxy S3 off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into download mode, to do reboot device by holding down volume down, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave these buttons and press the volume up button to enter into download mode.
Step #5: Here select “apply update zip” and locate the file you downloaded above and confirm installation.
