The AoCP is pre-rooted custom ROM that has a lot of customizable features and custom apps that allow you to customize the interface, it support theme engine and has wallpapers to give a stunning look and feel to your Verizon smartphone, you can use screenshot feature in power menu. The ROM will give you a new Jelly Bean experience.

Continue reading to learn how to install AoCP ROM on Verizon Galaxy Nexus, do keep in mind that your device’s bootloader must be unlocked and ClockworkMod recovery also must be installed on the phone, you can use WugFresh all-in-one toolkit to unlock bootloader and install recovery. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of AoCP ROM from here [XDA Link] and Google Apps from here or here.

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, volume down and power buttons, first you’ll enter in fastboot mode, there select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.

Step #7: From the main menu, select “Install” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.

Step #8: Once the ROM .zip file is installed on your phone, also install Google Apps package .zip file in the same manner.

Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
