Install AOKP Jelly Bean ROM on HTC One V CDMA
HTC One V has started receiving Jelly Bean builds, not a while ago we brought CyanogenMod 10 for your HTC One V and now AOKP Jelly Bean also has been ported to HTC One V, it based on Android 4.1.1, the AOKP ROM is well-known due to its amazing customizable features that allow you to customize the interface and performance of your phone, it has many useful tweaks to tweak your HTC One V, thanks to senior XDA developer member rukin5197.
Jelly Bean also adds number of new features such as new Google Now app, advanced notification, advanced keyboard, advanced camera app, new search feature and a lot other. The ROM is still being updated, it contains some bugs like WiFi hotspot, auto brightness, camcorder and camera on lockscreen aren’t working currently, Google Play Store also may not work on first boot, to fix this issue, go to Settings>Apps>All and clear data on Play Store and Google Frameworks Services, the Clock FCs also doesn’t work at times. The developer will iron out these bugs soon in near future.

The bootloader of your phone must be unlocked and a custom recovery also must be installed on the phone, you can follow our this guide to unlock bootloader and install recovery or use this all-in-one toolkit to do anything. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #2: Transfer both the downloaded .zip files to SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off and reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume down and power buttons, first you’ll enter in recovery mode, there select recovery option to enter in recovery mode, once you’re in recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #4: Download the required fastboot.zip file, it will be used to install required boot.img.
Step #5: Unzip the downloaded fastboot.zip into c:\, there you’ll get fastboot folder having four files, then also the downloaded ROM .zip file, you’ll get a boot.img file, copy this file to the fastboot folder, now it contains five files instead of four.
Step #6: Once again, power off phone, now reboot into fastboot mode instead of recovery mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down and power buttons, when device enter in bootloader mode, there select fastboot mode to enter in fastboot mode.
Step #7: Once the device is in fastboot mode, plug the phone to PC using a USB cable.
Step #8: Run the command prompt on your PC, it can be found prompt Start Menu>Programs>Accessories.
Step #9: Enter following command prompt, it will take you fastboot folder:
Step #10: Enter another following command prompt, it will show the serial number of device, which means, the device is successfully connected to PC in fastboot mode:
Step #11: Now enter following command to install boot.img:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Once the installation is done, you’ll get a message saying finished/OKAY message.
Step #12: Unplug the phone from PC, then on the phone, select HBOOT, in HBOOT, select recovery option to enter in recovery mode.
Step #13: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #14: From the main menu, select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Once this installation is done, also install the Google Apps .zip file in the same manner.
Step #15: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
