Classic Jewel custom ROM is already available for many HTC smartphones and now a XDA developer Leoisright has ported it to the HTC EVO 4G LTE, the ROM brings so many new features, mostly features are ported from Sony Xperia devices like the ROM has Sony Xteria integrated music system and Sony Bravia img engine that enables you to take more better quality photos.

It also has some other music apps such as Xloud sound system, music volume controls, Infinity music extentions and Sony Walkman music system that has infinity controls. The ROM also has Playstation app, it’s to make game lovers happy. It comes with stunning clock widgets, the developer removed the menu bar and some other bloatwares.

The ROM features awesome MMS and camera MODs and some memory tweaks. The ROM is fully packed with powerful features and worthy to try on the HTC EVO 4G LTE but also do note that the ROM is still in development and you may face some bugs.

Here’s guide to install but before installation make sure that the device bootloader is unlocked with a custom recovery installed, follow this guide to do all and then make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA Link] to PC.

Step #2: Plug the device to PC using USB cable.

Step #3: Transfer the downloaded file to the internal SD card of device.

Step #4: Disconnect the device from PC.

Step #5: Turn the device off.

Step #6: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume down and power button, first the device will enter in bootloader mode, there navigate to recovery with volume keys and select with power button (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).

Step #7: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select Backup, then slide the blue circle button to start backup.

Step #8: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.

Step #9: Select “Install” and locate the ROM zip file that you’ve transferred and confirm installation with blue button.

Step #10: Once the installation is completed, “Reboot System Now.”
