First make sure that your device battery is charged and also turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.
Step #2: Plug the device to PC using USB cable.
Step #3: On your HTC smartphone, drag down the notification bar and select USB Connection type and select charge only.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped the downloaded file and run the install.bat to install recovery. Once the installation is started, the device will reboot many times so don’t worry, you just wait until the process done.
