Install ClockworkMod Recovery on Galaxy S2 HD LTE SGH-I757M
Bell Canada’s Galaxy S2 features a bigger display and HD resolution, it’s beautiful Smartphone. Those who own Galaxy S2 HD LTE should be happy to know that ClockworkMod recovery has been released for the device, now they are able to take the backup of ROM, install zip files, wipe the device and more. Thanks to XDA developer member dsixda who ported the ClockworkMod custom recovery to Galaxy S2 HD.
Those of you excited to install the recovery follow the below step by step guide but first keep in mind that the recovery is just for Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE model number SGH-I757M, you can check the device detail from Setting>About Phone. Don’t try the recovery on Bell Canada Galaxy S2 I9100M and it’ll also not work on Asian variant of Galaxy S2 HD.
Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and USB drivers should be installed on computer otherwise Odin (software that’ll be used to install CWM recovery) will not detect the device, turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #2: Run Odin on the PC.
Step #3: Turn the device off and reboot into download mode by holing down Power and Volume Down buttons, the device will vibrate and warning screen will appear, then press the volume up button to enter into download mode.
Step #4: In download mode plug the device to PC via USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear.
Step #5: Now on Odin, click on BOOTLOADER button and locate the ClockworkMod recovery tar file that you’ve downloaded in first step.
Step #6: Click on Start button to start installation, the installation will end in a few seconds.
That’s it, you’re done, when you need to put the device into recovery mode, switch off the device and reboot by holding down volume up, volume down and power buttons until you Samsung logo appear on the device. If you want to go back to custom recovery just download the Stock recovery and follow the above same procedure to install it but first make put the device into CWM recovery mode and create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
