The Nexus 7 is pure Google’s tablet, that’s why it comes with stock AOSP ROM but those of you who love Samsung TouchWiz launcher and other Samsung apps can now try the CodenameSammy custom ROM on Nexus 7 that is packed with a lot of Samsung apps. The CodenameSammy TouchWiz ROM aims to improve the Jelly Bean experience by brining the Samsung environment to your Nexus 7, it’s very stable and has a lot customizable features that allow you to customize the different aspects of your Nexus 7.
The CodenameSammy TouchWiz ROM includes a lot of useful apps, some of you might consider them bloat but you need not to worry because the developer has placed the apps to data-partition, there you can update them with Google Play or uninstall if you don’t like them.
As the name shows that the ROM features the Samsung TouchWizUX (ported from Galaxy S3), it has up to 7 home screens to give a stunning look and feel to your Nexus 7 and six apps in dock bar + menu. You can hide and share apps, it offers a very responsive UI. As I said above that the ROM has so many Samsung apps (Samsung S3 Accuweather Widget, Task Manager, Memo App, Yahoo News Widget, Wallpapers modded with HD Pictures, Paper Artist, ChatON, TecTile (NFC), Clock, Notification Sounds, Alarms, System Sounds, App Icons and more) and Google apps, the flipboard, FlashPlayer, MX Player and Smart Rotator are already installed too. However the ROM is still being updated, so there may be few bugs.
