Install CyanogenMod 10.1 for T-Mobile Galaxy S3
The well-known AOSP CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM is now available for the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 unofficially, thanks to recognized XDA developer itsmikeramsay, it’s based on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean that comes with numerous useful features such as gesture-based keyboard, new Panorama photography mode, improved Google now app, and more, on the other hand customization is what, many people love CyanogenMod for, CyanogenMod ROM offers many customization features to optimize the interface of your device.
However the ROM is still in development and many features aren’t working currently like camera, headphone for calls, Bluetooth isn’t better, MTP support, lockscreen shortcut FC and probably more. But the developer will hopefully fix all bugs soon in near future.
The below guide walks you through how to install CyanogenMod 10.1 for T-Mobile Galaxy S3, make sure TWRP recovery is installed on the phone, don’t try any other recovery because you may face errors with them, check out this all-in-toolkit to install TWRP recovery. You need to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so.

Step #1: Download the latest version of CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM from here [XDA Link] and Google Apps package.
Step #2: Place both zip files to the internal storage of your phone.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup” and slide the blue button to confirm action.
Step #6: Perform wipe, select “wipe”, then select factory reset and confirm it.
Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #8: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded ROM file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #9: Once the ROM zip file is installed on your T-Mobile Galaxy S3, repeat previous step again and install the Google Apps package zip file in the same manner.
Step #10: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
