Install CyanogenMod 9 Nightly on HTC Wildfire S
Mostly Android devices are still waiting for AOSP (Android Open Source Project) based custom ROM because porting of AOSP ROM is difficult on some devices due to a lengthy list of bugs and missing ROM, but number of bugs has been plaguing CyanogenMod 9 AOSP-based custom ROM for the HTC Wildfire S, thanks to XDA developer benjamingwynn.
It’s nightly build of CM9 and still in development which means you may face bugs but it’s stable, which means it’s worthy to try, so read on how to install CyanogenMod 9 Nightly Build on HTC Wildfire S.
Please do note that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download CyanogenMod 9 and Google App, then transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.
Step #2: Turn the device off.
Step #3: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #4: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #5: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen.
Step #6: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete, then also install the Google apps package in the same manner.
Step #7: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
That’s it, enjoy CM9 on your HTC Wildfire S.
