Install DianXinOS ROM On Your Galaxy S2 i9100 [How-To]


Gingerbread-based Custom ROM from XDA developers “DianXinOS”, it almost identical to the user interface of MIUI on the first look, it has really useful features such as Individual apps (contacts, launcher, etc.) can be updated separately without the need to update the whole ROM. Some others: beautiful UI, battery saving options, fast and super responsive, option to set individual themes for each contact/message, m,ake backups of contacts, text and phone, anywhere, anytime, restore them from your phone or from the cloud and much more.

Here’s a guide to install it but first please note that your device should be XXKH3 Firmware, its battery should be 70% charged, turn the USB Debugging on, just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development. Then, make sure that USB debugging is checked. Please make backup of your device data, the reason is that the below procedure will wipe all data. Your device must be rooted with CWM recovery installed.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions To Install

Step #1: Download the GalaxyS2-DXROM-tapasbbs_120224.zip on your computer.

Step #2: Connect your device to the computer using your USB Data Cable and copy the zip file you downloaded earlier to the root directory of your SD card.

Step #3: Disconnect your phone to the computer and turn the phone off.

Step #4: Reboot in CWM recovery mode, press and hold the Volume up + Home + Power button to do so.

Step #5: In the recovery, do a nandroid backup by selecting backup> backup and restore> then backup to start saving your old ROM. (This will make a full backup of your existing ROM, and save it to the SD card. You can restore from this backup, if something gets messed up with the installation.)

Step #6: Now do a full wipe by selecting Mount and Storage then wipe the following:

  • Format System
  • Format Data
  • Format Cache
  • Go back to main menu and select advance then wipe dalvik-cache.

Step #7: Now from the main menu select install zip from Sd card> choose zip from Sd card>then select the GalaxyS2-DXROM-tapasbbs_120224.zip to start flashing the DianXinOS ROM.

Step #8: Once the installation finished, go back to main menu and select Reboot system now. That’s it enjoy!
