Android community already has started work on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, recently a custom ROM named DR.AKRIM made an appearance for your Galaxy Note 10.1, developed by a XDA developer member hani1980, the ROM is based on stock Indian Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich N8000DDALH1 firmware.

The feature list isn’t very lengthy but all are impressive, it support English and Arabic RTL and keyboard, it features custom bootanimation, the developer also packed the ROM with Google Now app, you no need to install Google Now manually, the developer has extended the power menu and has disabled the increasing ring, there is no SMS option in call log, you can add unlimited contacts in single one, couple of things are included to entertain you such XBMC , Netflix and HULU. It comes with stunning UI.

Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of DR.AKRIM ROM from here [XDA LINK]

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to the internal storage of device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Perform full wipe.

Step #7: Install ROM .zip file.

Step #8: Reboot tablet.
