Install Jelly Bean Based AOKP on HTC Sensation
Almost everyone is trying to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on their Android device, however the official Jelly Bean update is available for just a few devices currently, so there’s just one way to taste Jelly Bean, try custom ROMs.
HTC Sensation has recently received an AOKP build that based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, the AOKP custom ROM is well-known due to its useful customizable features, the ROM provides a unique Jelly Bean experience along with a fast performance and more feature, thanks to senior XDA developer member frankinstine.
Bear in mind that the ROM is still under beta stage, so bugs can be expected, things are working fine but head phones, Wi-Fi hotspot and the navigation bar tweaks under ROM control aren’t working currently, all bugs will be fixed as soon as possible in near future, take a look at below guide to learn how to install Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean based AOKP on HTC Sensation.
Do keep in mind that your HTC Sensation should have S-Off and the bootloader of your device should be unlocked too, also note that ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on your phone, you can follow our this guide to install ClockworkMod recovery 6.0, and be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK] and Google Apps from here or here.
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded .zip file to SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume down and power button, first device will enter in HBOOT, use volume keys to navigate and power button to select, there find recovery option to select it to enter in recovery mode.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Once the ROM .zip file is installed, install the Google Apps .zip file in the same manner.
Step #8: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
Please note that the first boot may take time might be 5 minutes, once the device is booted up, you have to set CPU frequency, to do so, go to Settings>Performance>Processor and there set the minimum CPU frquency to 384 MHz, then tick “Set on boot”. Everytime the device boot up, go to Settings> Developer options and check “Disable HW overlays”.
