Before some days, we saw a leaked Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware“SPRBLIF” for the Sprint Galaxy S3 that is now available as a custom ROM but with some extra fun named BlackJelly ROM. The BlackJelly ROM is pre-rooted custom ROM, it includes many extra features such as improved power menu, AOSP sounds, wallpapers and other tweaks.

However, since the BlackJelly ROM is based on a leaked firmware, it might not be fully stable and you might face some bugs.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the BlackJelly ROM.

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to the internal SD card of device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.

Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.

Step #8: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded BlackJelly ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.

Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
