Install Jelly Bean Based CM10 on Samsung Infuse 4G
Google packed the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with powerful features, the new Android version brings a faster performance and new user interface, it gives a stunning look and feel to your Android device, it’s pretty easy to understand for you. Jelly Bean comes with many new features such as new notification shed, new camera app, new smart keyboard, Google Now app and much more. That’s the reason, almost everyone want to taste the Jelly Bean, but as you know well that the Jelly Bean update will not be release for all Android devices, but you can taste it via custom ROMs, if you own a Samsung Infuse 4G, here’s Jelly Bean for you, the CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) is now available for your smartphone unofficially, the CM10 is based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, thanks to XDA developer member scott.hart.bti for this great effort.
Almost all things are working, but since CyanogenMod 10 is currently in its development stages, you may face some bugs like the developer said that you may face issues in GPS, the developer will fix all bugs as soon as possible, read on how to install Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) on your Samsung Infuse 4G i997.
Follow below guide, but keep in mind that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK] and Google Apps from here.
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded files to SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, volume down and power buttons (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #8: Repeat the last step to install Google Apps package.
Step #9: After Google Apps .zip file installation, return to main menu.
Step #10: Now you have to fix permissions, to do it, go to Advanced, then select Fix Permissions.
Step #11: Select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”

yup….but If you are still having battery issues, please let the phone settle down. This may take a couple days for data to 100% sync and SD cards to be fully searched. Reboots often fix “Android OS” battery issues.
