Install Jelly Bean Based CyanogenMax ROM for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 [CM10 Build]
CyanogenMax custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean based ROM, as the ROM’s name shows that it’s CyanogenMod 10 based custom ROM but it has more sweetness than the CyanogenMod 10, the developer has optimized the ROM by adding new scripts, tweaks, space in system/media, and more, it has no nonsense app, thanks to senior XDA developer member maxio1998.
Give it to try to taste smoothness of Jelly Bean performance that brings new notification bar, new camera app, new search feature, new keyboard app and more. But do keep in mind that the ROM is still in beta stage, so it might contains some bugs.
Take a look at below guide to learn how to install CyanogenMax ROM on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, make sure that the ClockworkMod recovery is installed on your tablet. You also need to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #2: Transfer both downloaded .zip files to the SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume down and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave the power button but not volume down until it take you to ClockworkMod recovery (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen, lastly from the main menu, select Advanced then select Wipe Dalvik cache and confirm the action on the next screen.
Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #8: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #9: Once again, repeat the previous step and install the Google Apps package .zip file.
Step #10: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
