Install Jelly Bean based CyanogenMod 10 for HTC Amaze 4G
After a long wait, the CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) is now available for the HTC Amaze 4G officially, the CM10 is based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and it’s AOSP ROM, so it will give you a fully stock Android experience, thanks to recognized XDA developer member sportsstar89.
The CyaongenMod is known for its customization options that allow you to customize almost every aspect of the interface while Jelly Bean also offers many useful new features such as improved keyboard app with offline voice support, Google Now app for voice search over Google, resizable widgets, smooth performance, and more.
The CyanogenMod 10 for Amaze 4G is still being updated, so you can except bugs but almost everything is working fine, so must give it a try to taste Android 4.1.1 Jelly Beans experience.
This guide shows you how to install CyanogenMod 10 ROM for Amaze 4G, make sure your phone has S-Off and ClockworkMod recovery is installed on it, you can use this all-in-one toolkit to get S-off and install ClockworkMod recovery. Be sure to backup everything, because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, though the APN setting automatically restored from network, it make mobile date work, but if it doesn’t happen to you, restore it manually, you can use APN app to do so. Use a Windows PC with USB drivers installed.

Step #2: Transfer both zip files to the internal SD card of your Amaze 4G.
Step #3: Download the fastboot package to your PC.
Step #4: Unzip the downloaded fastboot package into C: (C drive) , then unzip the downloaded ROM zip file, copy boot.img from ROM files to the fastboot folder too.
Step #5: Connect your phone to PC using a USB cable.
Step #6: Open up command prompt on the PC.
Step #7: Enter following command to enter in fastboot folder:
cd C: adb-fastboot-win
Step #8: Enter following command to reboot your phone into bootloader mode:
Step #9: Enter following command to install boot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step #10: Once the installation is done, on your phone select “”bootloader” then in bootloader mode select “recovery” to enter in recovery mode, when red warning triangle appear, press Volume Up and Power simultaneously to display the recovery menu.
Step #11: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #12: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen.
Step #13: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #14: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #15: Repeat previous step and install Google Apps package zip file.
Step #16: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
