Owners of AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket should be happy to know that a firmware UCALC4 has released for their AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket that based on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, so if you have no ability of wait for official Ice Cream Sandwich release, it’s best solution for you. But it’s still in beta so you can expect some bugs, however you can install it on your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket.

Before you start first note that device battery should be charged. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure will wipe all data, you can use file expert app to backup. Please use a computer running Windows OS and device drivers should be installed on PC, if you don’t have drivers download them here.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions

Step #1: First of all, download UCALC4 firmware update package from here or here

Step #2: Now double-click on I727UCALC4_OneClick.exe, Odin will open.

Step #3: Turn your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket off, and connect one end of the USB cable to the computer. After that hold Volume Down and Volume up buttons on your phone as you plug in the other end of the USB cable into your phone.  Release the Volume buttons once the download mode screen appears.

Step #4: Odin3 will detect the device, the ID:COM box will become yellow, and you’ll see see Added!displayed in the Odin3 window. ( If you didn’t see them, you may have problem in drivers or in defective USB cable).

Step #5: Once the Odin3 detected the device, click on Start button, installation will start, it make take some time, once it done, it’ll show a Pass message and your device will  automatically reboot. After that unlogged device from PC and enjoy! Don’t forget to comment below.
