Recently so many Android devices got Ice Cream Sandwich update such as Sony Xperia Arc and Arc S, but mostly devices still waiting for official Ice Cream Sandwich update, you can take the example of Samsung Galaxy Note and HTC Rezound. A few days ago HTC Rezound got leaked OTA Ice Cream Sandwich, and now the guys behind Android Police gave another leaked OTA Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Rezound.

The update is based on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense 3.6, as it’s leaked update, it has bugs like Facebook force close when you tap a video album, Roaming charges when in Canada & Mexico, Resets, you’ll get “Android updating” message on power up, the camera not working, Hotspot turning off after 10 minutes, Exchange mail account has removed after FOTA, Car dock limiting charging current, “Set Current Date” opne, BUA+ multiple issues, the update has no Flash player, OTA over incorrect APN, OTA SW update time, the camera become dark while you’re using Facelock and text field is difficult to read.

But if you really want to taste Ice Cream Sandwich, you can install it. But first keep in mind that this update is just for HTC Rezound, the bootloader of your device should be locked with S-Off. Please charge the battery of device and make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup to back apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here or here or here to PC.

Step #2: Plug the device to PC using USB cable.

Step #3: Transfer the downloaded file to root of device’s SD card.

Step #4: Disconnect the device from PC.

Step #5: Turn the device off.

Step #6: Now reboot into the bootloader by pressing and holding down VOL DOWN and Power button and then the installation  should begin automatically. That’s it, enjoy!
