Good news for the owners of HTC Desire HD, a leaked official HTC One V ROM is now available for their device called Primo-S ROM that has great features such as Latest HTC One V base (1.56.401.4), Android 4.0.3, Sense 4.0A UI (Lite version), Odexed system, Rooted, init.d support, Dropbox 25 GB for Free, Multilanguage and Apps up to date. As it’s pre-rooted so you’ll no need to root your device. However it still has some bugs like camera, camcorder, wifi hotspot, usb tethering and some other minor bugs.

If you’re interested follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that your device must be rooted with S-off and ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged. Please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure will wipe all data, you can use this app to backup.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions

Step #1: Download Primo-S from here to PC (PrimoS-v3.0.zip, md5sum: 6c9168c3ccda528ebcb440357c2a022c).

Step #2: Plug the device to PC using USB cable.

Step #3: Transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.

Step #4: Disconnect the device from PC.

Step #5: Turn the device off.

Step #6: Reboot the device into recovery mode by pressing
and holding down the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.  When you reach the screen with a red exclamation mark, press the Volume Up and Power buttons together.

Step #7: In recovery mode, make a Nandroid Backup of your existing ROM by selecting “Backup and Restore”, then select “Backup”.

Step #8: Go back to the main recovery menu.

Step #9: Select “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” then select “Yes” on the screen that follows to confirm the data wipe.

Step #10: Select “Install zip from sdcard”.

Step #11: Select “Choose zip from sdcard”, browse for the Primo-S ROM package that you copied to the phone, and select it and confirm the installation by selecting “Yes”. It may take 5-10 minutes for the installation process to finish.

Step #12: Once the installation is finished just select “Go back” then select “Reboot system now” to reboot your device. That’s it enjoy…don’t forget to comment below.
