Install LiquidSmooth ROM for HTC One X
The HTC One X shines with HTC Sense 4+ that gives you a different experience than stock but some people love to use stock AOSP and here’s a delicious treat for them named LiquidSmooth custom ROM. The Liquid Smooth is AOSP custom ROM that based on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and have a nice list of features.
Liquid Smooth ROM packs a comprehensive speed enhancements, customizable lockscreen buttons and sliders, Chronus clock widget, customizable hardware and software keys, transparent navigation bar and status, navigation bar widgets, customizable power menu, notification power widget, customizable quicksettings panel, statusbar mods, theme engine to load more themes, volume rocker music controls, full rotation and more even Jelly Bean 4.2 itself brings many new features such as gesture-based keyboard, panorama photography mode and more.
The Liquid Smooth custom gives a water-themed look and feel to your HTC One X, it looks gorgeous but if want something more, try the theme engine to load some more themes you like.
This guide shows you how to install LiquidSmooth ROM for HTC One X. Your smartphone must have unlocked bootloader bootloader with ClockworkMod recovery, you can unlock bootloader officially here and install ClockworkMod recovery here. Use a Windows PC with USB drivers installed, use the HTC Sync to install drivers and backup everything because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data.

Step #1: Turn off your HTC One X and reboot into recovery mode, to do so reboot phone into bootloader mode by holding down volume down and power buttons, there enter in recovery mode, once you’re in recovery mode, make a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #3: Download fastboot package. This is required.
Step #4: Now extract the fastboot package to C:\ on computer, you’ll get fastboot folder with four files.
Step #5: Also unzip ROM file, you’ll get boot img transfer it into fastboot folder. Now you have five files in fastboot folder.
Step #6: Turn the device off.
Step #7: Reboot into bootloader mode by pressing and holding down Volume down and power button, there use volume keys to navigate and power to select, and select fastboot mode.
Step #8: Once you’re in fastboot mode plug the device to PC using USB cable, navigate to the fastboot folder and run flash-boot-windows.bat file, it will install kernel, once it done, the command prompt will close itself or show OKAY/finished.
Step #9: Disconnect phone from the computer and select HBOOT, there you need to enter in recovery mode, to do so simply select RECOVERY option.
Step #10: Make nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, it will lets you to go back, just select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #11: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation, once the installation is done, also install Google Apps package in the same manner.
Step #12: That’s it, now reboot phone and enjoy, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.” It will reboot the phone.
