Install MIUI 4 on Your HTC One S
Finally MIUI 4 has been released for HTC One S, the ROM is familiar due to its awesome features and it brings a smooth experience on your HTC One S. It’s still in beta stage which means it has some bugs such as Bluetooth and camcorder are not working. Developer will fix these issues in next version, if you want to try this beat version of MIUI 4 continue reading to install it on your HTC smartphone, thanks to MIUI.US for this effort.
Before you start first note that the bootloader of device should be unlocked and ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on device, you can use this All-in-One toolkit to do everything. Your device battery should be charged, make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Download the MIUI 4 ROM and Google apps to PC from this thread.
Step #2: Plug the device to PC using USB cable.
Step #3: Transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.
Step #4: Disconnect the device from PC.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to do it first boot the phone in bootloader mode by holding down the Volume Down and Power keys, there select Recovery to enter in recovery mode. (Note: In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate and Power key to select).
Step #7: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #8: Perform full wipe, select wipe data/factory reset and conform on next screen.
Step #9: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #10: Repeat previous step for Google apps installation.
Step #11: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
