Install MIUI v4 On Your HTC One X
MIUI 4 is well-known custom ROM and has been released for many Android devices such as Motorola Droid Razr, Nexus One and more. Now MIUI 4 also has released for HTC One X, the ROM has lots of new features than official release. A brand new user interface, developer replaced Chinese files with English even the lockscreen is in English too.
Developer also added MIUI-Metro icons as default, AROMA installer that allows you to customize the ROM installation. Everything works well, which means you must have to taste on your HTC One X, it’s much fast and stable for daily use.
Follow below guide to install this awesome ROM, but first as usual keep in mind that ClockworkMod recoverymust be installed on your device and its booloader should be unlocked too. Device battery should be charged, make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup to back apps, and USB drivers should be installed on PC.

Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here and transfer files to SD card of device.
Step #2: Download fastboot package and unzip into C:\ on computer, you’ll get fastboot folder then unzip ROM file, you’ll get boot img transfer it into fastboot folder.
Step #3: Turn the device off and reboot into bootloader mode by pressing and holding down Volume down and power button, there use volume keys to navigate and power to select, and select fastboot mode.
Step #4: Once you’re in fastboot mode plug the device to PC using USB cable, open command prompt and then enter following command
Step #5: Now enter another command that will show device serial number, which means the device is successfully connected:
Step #6: Enter following command to install boot.img, you’ll get finished message once the img is installed:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step #7: Unplug the device from PC, and on device select HBOOT, then select RECOVERY.
Step #8: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #9: Go back to main menu and perform full wipe, first select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and confirm then select Wipe Dalvik Cache and confirm.
Step #10: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation, then wait till AROMA installer open. After that just follow on screen instructions to flash.
Step #11: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.” That’s it, you’re done, enjoy (Note: On first boot, change the language into English and reboot again, then from Settings>Language>Input select HTC Sense Input as default).
