Install New Gingerbread Leaked ROM On Your Samsung Droid Charge
Good news for owners of Samsung Droid Charge, new leaked Gingerbread ROM for their Droid Charge, say thanks to MyDroidWorld forum member p3droid. It’s leaked but it has been tested for 4 days apparently without any, it has many improvements, so you can try it on your Samsung Droid Charge too.
If you’re interested follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged. Please make a backup of your device data because the below procedure will wipe all data. Odin and Samsung USB derivers should be install on your PC, and you’ll need Full Froyo build. (Incase you want to revert back for any reason.)
DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.
Step #1: First download ROM from here, and extract the ROM of your choice to find a .tar file.
Step #2: Open ODIN and make sure Re-Partition is checked.
Step #3: Press “PDA” button and choose the ROM you extracted earlier on when prompted to.
Step #4: Boot your device in download mode. (Remove the battery and plug the phone to your computer via USB. Keep holding the Volume Down button as you reinsert the battery and wait for the Downloading message on the screen.)
Step #5: Odin will detect the device, so simply hit the “Start” button and cross your fingers as the ROM is installed. Once the process finish, phone will restart. If it doesn’t, do so manually. That’s it enjoy.
