Install Official ICS MIUI.us 2.2.17 ROM On Galaxy Nexus [How-To]
First Android mobile that bear Google’s OS Ice Cream Sandwich “Galaxy Nexus”, now another good news for its users, now install official MIUI.us 2.2.17 ROM, its well-matched with both CDMA and GSM variant, it has lots of hear touching features but with a look and feel reminiscent of iOS. Here’s guide to install it, so enjoy new Android experience to install it.
This official ROM still face some issues, and compatible with both CDMA (SCH-I515) and GSM (GT-I9250) variants of the Galaxy Nexus. Flashing the ROM to other handset models may cause damage. If you’re interested follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged and please make a backup of your device data because the below procedure will wipe all data, disable all antivirus, firewall and Samsung Kies software, and turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development. Then, make sure that USB debugging is checked.

Step #1: Download the official MIUI 2.2.17 ROM from the following links to your PC:

- MIUI.us 2.2.17 for Verizon/CDMA Galaxy Nexus SCH-I515 — Download(MIUI.us_maguro_2.2.17_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_magileeech.zip, 156 MB)
Step #2: Connect device to PC using USB cable and copy the downloaded file to the phone.
Step #3: Turn the device off and hold down the Volume Up key, Volume Down key, and the Power button simultaneously to enter Fastboot mode.
Step #4: Use the Volume Up key to highlight “recovery” and tap the Power button to boot into Recovery mode. (In Recovery mode, use the Volume keys to navigate and the Power button to select an option.)
Step #5: Once in Recovery mode, select “Wipe data/factory reset” and confirm the action on the next screen.
Step #6: Select “Wipe Cache” and confirm the action on the next screen.
Step #7: Go back to the main menu and select “Advanced.” From there, select “Wipe Dalvik Cache” and confirm the action on the next screen.
Step #8: Go back to the main menu and select “Install zip from sd card.”
Step #9: Select install and choose the MIUI 2.2.17 file you copied to the phone. This will flash the ROM file in your device. Once installation is complete, just go back to the main menu and select “Reboot system now” to reboot your device into the new MIUI 2.2.17 ROM. That’s it enjoy!
