Install Rooted Jelly Bean on Transformer TF300T
Not a while ago, the Transformer TF300T received the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update from ASUS but as most of you already know well that when you install the official firmware, it will void the root access, so for those who love to keep their Android devices rooted, here at Android Egis, we got something interesting.
A recognized XDA contributor serdu_petru has just released three modified version of stock official Jelly Bean 10.4.2.13 firmware, rooted with insecure kernel deodex and Busybox app. The below guide will walk you through how to install this rooted stock Jelly Bean firmware build on Transformer TF300T.
Before installation first do keep in mind the TWRP recovery must be installed on your tablet, don’t use ClockworkMod recovery, you can follow our this guide to install TWRP recovery. Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the one of following rooted Jelly Bean version according to your choice (Note: You should unzipped first into asus.zip):
- Stock Asus JB 4.1.1 Firmware 10.4.2.13 (Rooted version)
- Stock Asus JB 4.1.1 Firmware 10.4.2.13 (Rooted & Deodexed version)
- Stock Asus JB 4.1.1 Firmware 10.4.2.13 (Rooted & Deodexed & Busybox version)
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to the internal SD card of your Transformer TF300T.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down Volume down and power button, when a message saying “Press Vol. Up to enter RCK (5s)” appears on the device, press volume up button and device will enter into recovery mode.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state, to create backup tap on backup button, then slide the blue button to the right to confirm this action and it will start taking backup.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe, then select Factory reset. Once it done, again select wipe and then wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache.
Step #7: Return to main menu.
Step #8: Select “Install” and locate the downloaded .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step 2 and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #9: Select “Reboot System Now” now to reboot tablet.
