There are lots of reasons to install the stock firmware, like when you need any replacement, when you need to install OTA update, when you want to unroot the device, some time you get a broken feature after the installation of a firmware and some other, you just need to install a stock firmware to get back to original state.

Now a guide is available for ASUS Transformer TF300T to go safely back to stock, the guide is very easy to follow, it will install stock firmware, unroot the device and uninstall the ClockworkMod recovery. Even you’ll have unlocked bootloader too.

First install Android SDK to get access to ADB and Fastboot. Be sure to Do note that make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the stock ROM zip file from here [Official site], download file that is match to your SKU.

Step #2: Unzip the file you’ve downloaded, it will give you another archive called, unzip that file too. You’ll end up with many files including blob.

Step #3: Turn the tablet off.

Step #4: Reboot the device by holding down volume down and power button until you see a message saying “Press Vol. Up to enter RCK (5s)”, but you don’t press the volume up button, just wait until a menu appear on the device, then within 10 second press the volume down button once to navigate on USB icon, then press the volume up button to select and connect it to the PC using USB cable.

Step #4: Open command prompt and go to a folder where you’ve blob file that you got in step 2.

Step #5: Enter following command:

fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob

Do note that, the transfer seems to fail from time to time, if it happens, try again by going back to this step.

Step #6: After transfer, when you’ve got “SUCCESS” message, enter another following command to reboot device:

fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot
