Install Touch ClockworkMod Recovery On T-Mobile Galaxy S2 SGH-T989
ClockworkMod recovery is a familiar custom recovery for Android that allows you to install custom ROM, hacks, take the backup of ROM, restore previous ROM, wipe the device and much more, but in recovery mode you need to use physical keys such as volume and power keys to navigate and select the menus, but now you can use touch control by installing Touch ClockworkMod recovery on your T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-T989.
Before you start installation of recovery, first keep in mind that you’ll need a Windows PC to install and USB drivers of smartphone must be installed on PC, you can download drivers from here. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development and lastly charge the battery of your T-mobile smartphone.

Step #1: Download the ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 18.104.22.168 and Odin3 v1.83 to computer.
Step #2: Open the folder where you’ve saved above file and run Odin.
Step #3: Turn the device off and remove the battery for a few seconds.
Step #4: Reboot the device into download mode, to do it hold the Volume Down key + Volume Up key while plugging the device to PC using USB cable, keep the buttons hold until Download Mode boots on device.
Step #5: Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear.
Step #6: Click on PDA Button and locate recovery.tar.md5 file that you’ve downloaded in first step.
Step #7: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS.
Step #8: That’s it, unplug the device from PC and enjoy!
