TeamWin’s TWRP custom recovery has arrived for Samsung Galaxy S Plus, it’s easy to use and very fast recovery, the recovery is packed with customizable features, you can easily take the backup of ROM, install zip files of custom ROMs, Mods, tweaks, etc, wipe the device with one-click and more. No, you no need to use physical keys in recovery mode, it’s touch-based custom recovery, it features touchscreen interface with a with a drag-to-scroll option, a pretty useful feature.

You should use try something new, continue reading to install TWRP recovery on Galaxy S Plus. Before you follow guide first make sure that you’re using Windows PC and USB drivers are installed on your PC, you can download drivers from here and make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, however chances are bit low, but I strongly recommend, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download i9001 Quick Flasher program and TWRP Recovery image to your PC.

Step #2: Unzip the downloaded flasher program and if you’re on 32-bit Windows run the  eithersgsflasher_x86.exe or if you’re on 64-bit windows run sgsflasher_x64.exe.

Step #3: Now on Quick flasher, enable the Flash a new Recovery option.

Step #4: Click on Browse button and locate the TWRP img file that you’ve downloaded in first step.

Step #5:Now simply click on  Start Now butto, installation will start, once it done the device will reboot. Now when you need enter into recovery mode simply turn the phone off and reboot by volume up and power button until screen turns on, an Android box will appear, press the menu button to enter in recovery mode. (Note: Some users said that phone entering recovery mode every time, if it happens to you don’t worry just continue following steps otherwise not).

Step #6: Download following three files: AriesVE.zip – Boot_loader.tar - Odin v4.43.exe

Step #7: Unzip the downloaded AriesVE.zip file into a folder.

Step #8: Run the downloaded Odin.exe file.

Step #9: Click on OPS button and locate the AriesVE.ops that you obtained in step 7.

Step #10: Click on Boot button and locate the  Boot_loader.tar that you downloaded in step 6.

Step #11: Turn the device off and reboot into download mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons until a yell Android icon appear on the screen.

Step #10: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear.

Step #11: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS.

Step #12: That’s it, unplug the device from PC.

You’re done, please note that if the Odin gets suck or show the message fail, don’t worry just disconnect the device from PC, close the running Odin, remove the battery from the device for a few seconds then re-insert the battery into device but don’t turn on just reboot into download mode by following step 11 and repeat the guide again from step 8 but skip the step 11.
