Install TWRP Recovery for AT&T Galaxy Note 2 [How-To]


TWRP recovery is now available for the AT&T Galaxy Note 2, it’s wonderful custom recovery that offers an awesome touch-interface than others, it lets you to easily install .zip files for custom ROMs and tweaks, it perform backups and wipe the device easily. Even it has inbuilt file manager app to manage your backups and other files, it support themes. You can modify the XML layout and use the on-screen keyboard to name your backups. It’s pretty easy to use and faster custom recovery.

Read on how to install TWRP Recovery on AT&T Galaxy Note 2. You need a Windows PC and USB drivers also should be installed on the computer, you can use Samsung KIES to install drivers but installation disable the KIES because it may disturb installation.

Instructions

Step #1: Download TWRP Recovery for AT&T Galaxy Note 2 from here [XDA Link]

Step #2: Download Odin3_v3.04.zip file to your PC that allows you to install recovery.

Step #3: Unzip the downloaded Odin3_v3.04.zip file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.

Step #4: Turn off your AT&T Galaxy Note 2 and put it in download mode, to do reboot your device by holding down volume down, home and power buttons until screen turns on, then press volume up button and it will enter phone in download mode.

Step #5: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).

Step #7: Click on PDA Button and locate openrecovery-twrp-2.3.1.1-t0ltecan.img.tar that you have downloaded in first step (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).

Step #8: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.

Step #9: Unplug your AT&T Galaxy Note 2 from PC.
