Install TWRP Recovery for Sprint Galaxy Note 2 [How-To]
The TWRP recovery has just been arrived for the Sprint Galaxy Note 2, it’s one of most popular alternative to ClockworkMod recovery. It lets you to easily install custom ROMs, MODs and tweaks, you can perform backups and wipe, it’s touch-based custom recovery, so you don’t need to use any physical key in recovery mode. It also support themes and has file manager app.

If your Sprint Galaxy Note 2 is rooted, perform following steps to install TWRP recovery. You can follow our this guide to root your Sprint Galaxy Note 2.
Step #1: Download the GooManager app and install on your Sprint Galaxy Note 2.
Step #2: Launch the GooManager app and grant root access.
Step #3: Tap on menu button, then tap on “install openrecoveryscript” and tap on yes. Then confirm the download, this app will download and install TWRP recovery on your phone after a reboot.
Once the installation is done, you can reboot into TWRP recovery using the GooManager app, to do so open the app and tap on “reboot recovery”.
Step #1: Use a Windows PC and your phone drivers are installed on it, you can download 32 bit (x86) Windows drivers fromhere and 64-bit (x64) Windows from here. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, etc because it may disturb rooting. Turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.
Step #2: Download the TWRP Recovery (openrecovery-twrp-126.96.36.199-t0ltespr.tar) to your PC.
Step #3: Download the Odin3_v3.04.zip to your PC and unzip it into a folder.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 3.04.exe.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume down, home and power buttons, when screens turns on press the volume up button to enter in recovery mode.
Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will change color yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate openrecovery-twrp-188.8.131.52-t0ltespr.tar from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #8: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #9: Unplug the phone from PC.
That’s it, the TWRP recovery has now been installed on your Sprint Galaxy Note 2. To get your phone into recovery mode, turn it off, and reboot it by holding down volume up, home and power buttons. If you faced any issue, do comment.
