Install Unofficial Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
Yesterday Google released the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the hardworking developers has started their work on the Jelly Bean to provide you goodies as soon as possible. The Jelly Bean comes with many new features such as stunning theme, Google Now service, improved camera app, improved home screen, improved notification center and much more.
As usual firstly Google will release the update for Nexus devices as Google announced that Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S will receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update soon, but developers already porting the Jelly Bean for other Android devices, like the Galaxy Nexus will receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will get the update in mid of July but a XDA developer has already ported it to Galaxy Nexus and now it also available for the flagship device of Samsung, yes, I’m talking about the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with awesome features and Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich but since Google released the Jelly Bean, Galaxy S3 users are excited to taste the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but when Samsung will release the Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S3? There’s no date, just wait, time will tell in future. But if you can’t wait try the unofficial Jelly Bean on the Samsung Galaxy S3.
This update is ported from Galaxy Nexus OTA update, things working file like developer mentioned that touch controls, ADB, hardware Acceleration, Notification LED, Cellular Rado (But No Audio so no Calls), Physical Buttons, SMS, Accelerometer, Charging and much more. But since this is unofficial Android 4.1 Jelly Bean many features aren’t working currently such as Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/NFC, Audio, Camera, MTP, Storage, and some other things. I don’t recommend you to install the Jelly Bean because it’s not ready for daily use now, but if want to check the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, head over to official XDA thread here for more information.
