Install Unofficial ClockworkMod touch Recovery on Galaxy Note 10.1

ClockworkMod recovery is best tool to install .zip files that contains your favorite custom ROMs, MODs, etc, you can easily take and restore the backup with this recovery and also wipe the device when you need. Just after a few days of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1’s launching, a root package release for the tablet, but one this was left but now not, ClockworkMod recovery has been released for the Galaxy Note 10.1, thanks to senior XDA developer member zedomax for providing this unofficial ClockworkMod touch recovery 6.0.1.1.

Recovery has been tested, users reported that it’s working fine but honestly, just one issue you may face is touch scrolling, you have to use physical volume keys to scroll, the developer will fix this issue as soon as possible in near future. Read on how to install unofficial ClockworkMod touch recovery 6.0.1.1 on Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000, the recovery also does work for both GT-N8000 (3g version) and GT-N8013 (wifi version).

Use a Windows PC and make sure USB drivers are installed on PC, if you haven’t installed them, download the Samsung USB drivers from here. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the latest version of ClockworkMod recovery from here and also download the Odin 1.85 from here.

Step #2: Unzip both downloaded .zip files.

Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin .exe file.

Step #4: Turn the device off.

Step #5: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down volume down and power buttons until a warning screen appear, when warning screen appear, press the volume up button and it will take you to download mode.

Step #6: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).

Step #7: Click on PDA Button and locate HighOnAndroidv1CWMRecoveryGTN8000.tar file. from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).

Step #8: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS.

Step #9: That’s it, unplug the device from PC and enjoy!
