Install Urban HD ROM On Galaxy Note 2 N7100 – A Bloatware-Free ROM
The Samsung Galaxy Note comes with pre-installed TouchWiz 5 and so many Samsung apps but you don’t use some of them and these apps use your storage space. So you get rid of it and Urban HD custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 lets you to do so.
Urban HD is Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean N7100XXALJ1 firmware based ROM and as I said it’s bloatware-free. The developer has removed many irritating apps such as Accuweather, AllShare Play, Analog clock, Digital clock, Music Player, Yahoo, Kies, ChatOn, S Suggest, Google+, /media exchanges, Tests, Samsung Apps, PViewer, Livewalls, SIM kit, SWF, Dual clock, FWupgrade, All Samsung hubs, and Web manual. However the developer has modified the interface like it adds TouchWiz 5×6, a few gallery tweaks, battery tweaks, better background light, SuperSU, CWM Manager, Ad Away app, Touchsound, RAM tweaks, Sony Walkman Music Player and more.
So those of you don’t like these apps I mentioned, follow the below guide to learn how to install urban HD ROM on Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Make sure the ClockworkMod recovery is installed on device, follow this guide to install it or use all-in-one toolkit to install. Make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Download the Urban HD ROM [XDA Link] and copy the .zip file to internal storage of device.
Step #2: Switch off phone put it into recovery mode, to do so reboot phone by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.
Step #3: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #4: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. In the end, go to main menu, select advanced, then select wipe delvik cache and confirm it.
Step #5: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”, there select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #6: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
