Install XXKP1 Android 4.0 Firmware on Galaxy S II [How-To]

If you are using Samsung Galaxy S II and want to install XXKP1 Android 4.0 Firmware you are on a right place below you can see a guide for this purpose. Before you get started make sure that you have manage you back-up because below steps can damage your valued data. Here I’d like to say that this firmware and the guide below is compatible only and only with Samsung Galaxy S II, model number i9100.

All the steps are pretty easy and simple if you follow the steps accurately you can do it without of any trouble, you also need the drivers, download them from the below links.

Instructions

Step 1

First if all you need to download odinV3 1.85 from here and Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 XXKP1 firmware from here

Step 2

After this you need to extract the Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 XXKP1 firmware (Password: samfirmware.com) to your pc and you will get these files:

I9100_APBOOT_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
I9100_CODE_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
I9100_KERNEL_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
MODEM_I9100XXKP1_REV_02_CL1085642.tar.md

Step 3

Now Turn Off and old these keys together: Volume_down+Home+Power, to boot into download Mode.

Step 4

Now you need to Launch Odin on your PC and then connect your Galaxy S2 to PC.

Step 5

Select these files in Odin for the tabs:

Click the BOOTLOADER tab, select

I9100_APBOOT_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5

Click the the PDA tab,select

I9100_CODE_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
Click the PHONE tab, select

MODEM_I9100XXKP1_REV_02_CL1085642.tar.md5 .

Step 6

Now, press START button to start installing the XXKP1 on your Galaxy S II

Step 7

When process at Odin finishes your phone will reboot into recovery mod then you need to Reboot that’s it‼
