Jelly Bean Based Codename Android ROM for HTC Incredible S
HTC Incredible S has finally received the sweetness of Jelly Bean, the famed “Codename Android” custom ROM has been released for the HTC Incredible S that based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, the developer built the ROM from “Clean Android 4.1.1 Rev4” ROM, thanks to recognized XDA developer member nikhil007mmus.
The ROM is packed with a nice punch of useful features and apps, it has many customizable apps that allow you to customize the different parts of interface such messaging, phone, power menu, status bar, notification bar, navigation bar, lockscreen, sound, display, performance and much more. It already includes SuperSU, Busybox, Bash and Nano app. The ROM features T-mobile Theme Manager and CyanogenMod Custom Launcher, the feature list is very remarkable.
The interface is pretty good, Jelly Bean brings a smooth performance to your phone along with new apps such as Google Now app, smarter keyboard, camera and notification bar, new search feature and much more.
The ROM is still under development, so bugs can be expected like LED charging only, Wi-Fi hotspot bugs and camera force close, you can get rid of camera issue by going to Setting>Apps, there look for System apps, then go to Camera and clear data. However the developer will iron out these bugs as soon as possible.

Bear in mind that the your Incredible S should be rooted or have S-Off, the ClockworkMod recovery must be installed on the phone, make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [XDA LINK] and Google Apps from here.
Step #2: Copy both files to the SD card of phone.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to do so, use ROM manager app, open ROM manager app and tap on “Reboot into Recovery” (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe:
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe cache / dalvik cache
- format system
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #8: After ROM installation, once again the repeat last step and install the Google Apps package .zip file in the same manner.
Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
