New hottest Samsung device in the town to get an official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, the update is currently available for the Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi 3G model number N8000, Samsung will roll out the update through OTA soon in near future, however folks over Sam Mobile told us that Samsung has just leaked Jelly Bean Android 4.1.1 for the Galaxy Note 10.1 in India, it’s just a test build and is available for manual installation.
As most of you already know well that Jelly Bean comes with number of new apps and features such as Google Now app, advanced notification, smarter keyboard and more, the firmware improvements are also impressive like improve S Note, S Note Widget, calendar colors, Screenshot, text selection and more. It also adds blocking mode, text-message backgrounds and some new multi-tasking features.
As I said mentioned above Samsung hasn’t roll out the update yet but those of you who really want to taste Jelly Bea before OTA release, can install this leaked update manually. It’s important to keep in mind that since it’s just a pre-release, it may contains some bugs and it might not be fully stable for daily drive.
Take a look at below guide to install the leak OTA Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean N8000DDALI1 update on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000. Be sure to make a make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: Your Galaxy Note 10.1 must be running Android 4.0.4 N8000DDALH1 firmware, check your device firmware information from Setting>About Device. If you’re already on N8000DDALH1 version, skip step 1 to step 10 but not then you need to install it manually, to do so, first of all download the N8000DDALH1 from here or here (Note: Use a Windows PC and USB drivers also should be installed on your PC, you can download 32 bit (x86) Windows from here and 64-bit (x64) Windows from here).
Step #2: Unzip the downloaded N8010XXALGC_N8010PAPALG5_PAP.zip file into a folder on PC, you’ll get N8000DDALH1_N8000ODDALH2_N8000DDLG5_HOME.tar.md5 file.
Step #3: Now download the required Odin 3.04.zip file to your PC.
Step #4: Extract the Odin 3.04.zip file on your PC. .
Step #5: Run the run Odin 3.04.exe you obtained in previous step.
Step #6: Turn off your Galaxy Note 10.1.
Step #7: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down volume down and power buttons, when a warning screen appear, leave both buttons and press volume up button to enter in download mode.
Step #8: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow/blue and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #9: Click on PDA Button and locate N8000DDALH1_N8000ODDALH2_N8000DDLG5_HOME.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #10: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #11: Now download leaked OTA Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean DDALI1 OTA Update (GT-N8000_N8000DDALI1-OTA-N8000DDALH1_INU_312166583.zip).
Step #12: Place the downloaded OTA update .zip file to your device’s external SD card.
Step #13: Reboot your phone into stock recovery mode by holding down power button and volume up button.
Step #14: Select Apply update from External Storage, then locate the OTA update .zip file (GT-N8000_N8000DDALI1-OTA-N8000DDALH1_INU_312166583.zip) to start the installation.
Step #15: Once the installation is done, you need to perform wipe, to do so select “Wipe Data/Factory Restore” and confirm this action.
Step #16: Reboot your tablet.
That’s it, the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean is now installed on your Galaxy Tab Note 10.1, when you need to go back, once again install Android 4.0.4 firmware by repeating step 1 to step 10. Enjoy! If you faced any issue, do comment below.
