Learn How-To Improve Galaxy Nexus Display
If you are a user of Samsung Galaxy Nexus and want to improve the display of this device you are on a right place below you can see a guide for this purpose. All the steps are pretty easy and simple to understand and if you’ll follow the steps accurately you can do it without of any trouble. But before you get started be sure to backup using nandroid image.
You can install AOKP [XDA Thread]. AOKP is a well-known ROM which supports startup tweaks which, in turn, are required for this hack to work.
Same like that you can install kernel that supports ColorControl [XDA Thread] it’ll booted the device, also set your display’s brightness to 50%. You can do this from Settings > Display.
The developer suggests going for 50% since at this point the display’s brightness is around 120 lux which is fairly close to desktop LCDs.
Using a root-ready file explorer such as File Expert [Market Link], navigate to/etc/init.d/900colorcontrol-b50 and add the follow lines of code:
echo “-10 0 -10″ > /sys/class/misc/colorcontrol/v1_offset
echo “1820000000 1900000000 2000000000″ > /sys/class/misc/colorcontrol/multiplier
The developer chose 182 190 200 as valus because default value was 200. Anything higher could damage your display.
Step 5: Reboot your device.
