Learn How-To Install Android 2.3.6 On Galaxy Ace


If you are a user of Galaxy Ace and want to install Android 2.3.6 you are on a right place below you can see stepbystep guide for this purpose. Before you get started make sure that you have manage back-upbecause below steps can damage your valued data also make sure that you have model number S5830, because below steps are just compatible with this model.

For this purpose you also need to install the drivers you can download the drivers from this link

Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need to download firmware file from here and extract it and then get the Odin Downloader and put a check mark on Auto reboot and also Protect OPS.

Step 3

Click on OPS to browse and select the OPS file and after that need to go the main folder where you have extracted Cooper v1.0 ops file.

Step 4

Put a check mark on One Package and browse click on the last box that is ONE PACKAGE and select the firmware file.

Step 5

You will get the following message once firmware file is checked:

Step 6

Now enter in Download mode to press Volume down + Home + Power keys at the same time.

Step 7

While in the Download Mode, USB Cable to connect your device to PC and wait for ODIN to detect the phone.

Step 8

Now the COM PORT 1 MAPPING box will turn into yellow and the device’s port will be detected. In the message section, you will get the following message:

<1>Added!!!

<1>Detected!!!!

Step 9

Now click on START and it will take around 56 minutes and will reboot your Galaxy Ace twice or thrice.

Step 10

When DONE, you’ll get a message as PASS in the COM PORT box as well as message section now disconnect the device.

Step 11

Reboot it and select your language and go to Settings > About Phone and check the Firmware Version.

Step 12

Restore the phone back to factory settings to wipe off the data as well as cache. To do it Go to Settings > Privacy settings > Factory Data reset or type this code: *2767*3855#

Step 13

When it restarts, shut it down once more and insert SD card and SIM card and now your device (Samsung Galaxy Ace) is just like a brand new handset with Android Gingerbread 2.3.6.
