Learn How-To Install CyanogenMod 9 on HTC One X

HTC is also a well-known electronics company who is using Android OS in its devices and HTC One X is also well-known device basically the HTC One X is touch screen Android smartphone and it runs Google’s Android 4.0 mobile OS (operating system) with an HTC Sense graphical user interface. The HTC One X was announced on 26 February 2012 at the Mobile World Congress, here I’ll not explain the more features of HTC One X because today I am going to present you the step-by-step guide to install the CM9 (CyanogenMod 9)  on your HTC One X.

If you’ll use the CyanogenMod 9 on your HTC One X, in this way you can improve the overall performance of your smartphone. But before you get stared I’d like to share with you the known issues that are included in this ROM If you’ll install the CyanogenMod 9 on HTC One X the WiFi hotspot also doesn’t work. And the third issue is the Mobile data will take many time to properly connect these are the known issue and you have to keep in mind them perfectly before you get started.

So, finally if you have make your mind to install the CyanogenMod 9 on your HTC One X, then first of all make sure that you have a HTC One X and don’t attempt the below steps for any other device and also make sure that you have manage your back-up because the below steps can damage your value data. Also make sure that you have at least 70% battery because it’s important, if you’ll have less battery then your device will Turn Off during the installation due to low battery. Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need to download the CyanogenMod 9 from here

Step 2

Then using a USB Cable connect your device to PC and Turn OFF.

Step 3

Then press Volume Down and Power at the same time to boot your device into the Recovery mode.

Step 4

Then use the below command at the terminal app:

fastboot flash boot boot.img

Step 5

Then boot.img will have been extracted and then, CWM will have been installed on your HTC One X.

Step 6

In the end simply reboot your device.
