Steps

Step 1

After downloading your desired file you need to place the zip files on the root of your external sdcard.

Step 2

Then you need to Switch off your Xoom and reboot into Recovery Mode press power key and after that press Volume down key 2 seconds after the red Motorola Dual Core Logo appears on the screen while it boots.

Step 3

After that, hit Volume Up when you see the “Android recovery” text on the Top Left of the screen.

Step 4

Now you need to make a full backup from within the CWM menu under backup and restore option

Step 5

Boot into recovery and wipe: data, cache partition, and in Advanced Options: Wipe dalvik cache

Step 6

Select install zip from sd card » choose zip from sd card and then browse and selectupdate-cm-9.0.XOOM-KANG-signed.zip file and make sure the installation to select Yes. Your effort will install the Cyanogenmod9 rom on your xoom.

Step 7

After this, flash the google apps.

Step 8

Now you need to select install zip from sd card » choose zip from sd cardand then browse and select gapps-ics-403-Kejar31-123111-TAB.zip file and make sure about the installation to select Yes.

Step 9

When this Done. Just select ‘reboot system now’ to reboot your Xoom and welcome the CM9
