Learn How-To Upgrade HTC Evo 4G Through ics-deck-evo Custom ROM

If you have a HTC EVO 4G with Android 4.0.3 ICS (ice cream sandwich) then there is something interesting news for you because now you can install ics-deck-evo Custom ROM, below you can see a guide for this purpose. Before you get started make sure that you have manage your backup because the below steps can damage your valued data. You also need HTC EVO 4G with 60% battery. Before you get started make sure that you have a Rooted HTC EVO 4G with ClockworkMod Recovery installed.

In your device System tools like antivirus software and firewall programs might interfere during the installation process. Disable such software before you flash the ROM.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all download the Rom from here and gapps from here save both files to your computer and connect your HTC Evo 4G to the computer using a USB cable.

Step 2

Use USB Cable and transfer the both files in the SD Card, after that disconnect the device.

Step 3

Now Turn Off your device Hold the Volume Down button and Power button until a menu appears in Recovery Mod you can use Volume keys to up and down and power button to select.

Step 4

When in Recovery mode, select Backup and Restore > Backup, then confirm the action to create a backup of your current working ROM.

Step 5

Select “Wipe data/factory reset” and confirm the action on the next screen and go back to the main menu and select “install zip from SD card.”

Step 6

Select the “ics-deck-evo-alpha7.zip” file and confirm the action to flash the ROM on your mobile device.

Step 7

When  Done, go back and reselect “install zip from SD card.”

Step 8

This time, select the file of gApps and confirm the action to install the Google applications on your mobile phone.

Step 9

Go back to the main menu and select “reboot system now”.
