Learn How-To Install MIUI 4 ICS on your Nexus S GSM Using Oodie Prime V2 Custom ROM

If you are a user of Nexus S GSM and want to install MIUI 4 ICS using Oodie Prime V2 custom ROM you are on a right place below you can see the step-by-step guide for this purpose. Here I’d like to say that you need a Rooted Nexus S with Clockworkmod Recovery installed. Also manage the back-up of your valued data because the below steps can damage your data.

You also need a fully charged battery for this purpose. And the below steps are just compatible with the GSM version of Nexus S so, don’t try the steps on any other device.

Instructions

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Step 1

First of all download the Oodie Prime V2 from here and Turn Off your device.

Step 2

Now connect device to PC and copy the Oodie Prime V2 ZIP file into the root of the internal storage.

Step 3

Now Hold the Volume Up key and Power button together to Boot into Fastboot mode and then Scroll down and choose “Recovery” to enter recovery mode.

Step 4

Here scroll down to Back up & Restore then choose style=”font-style: italic;”>Backup on the next screen. Then Select Wipe Data/Factory reset from the main menu after that verify the operation on the next screen.

Step 5

Now select Wipe Cache Partition and verify the operation on the next screen.

Step 6

From the main menu, now go to Advanced and choose style=”font-style: italic;”>Wipe Dalvik Cache, also verify the operation on the next screen From the main menu. Then Choose “Install zip from SD card” from the recovery menu.

Step 7

Select “Choose zip from SD card” and choose the file that you have copied earlier. Installation of the ROM will now start. When DONE you need to choose Go back and then choose Reboot System Now.

Step 8

It will take a while for your phone to reboot totally. When it has totally booted, don’t touch it for about 5 minutes to allow the ROM to settle down.

Step 9

Reboot your phone a second time.

If you’ll follow the steps accurately you can do it without of any trouble and the credit goes to Android Authority for this effort.
