Learn How-To Install T-Mobile Galaxy S2 Custom Android ROMs on Galaxy S II Skyrocket

Samsung Galaxy S II is a well-known smartphone which has lots of amazing features and Android OS is operating system is running in this mobile. In this post I’ll told you that how you can install T-Mobile Galaxy S II custom Android ROMs on Galaxy S II skyrocket. But before I get started I’d like to give this post’s credit to Tech Spyre for this effort. So, below you can see the steps of this tutorial…

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Step #1

Firstly make sure that you have root on your Skyrocket along with ClockworkMod Recovery installed. You can check out the guide posted here if you still haven’t rooted or installed CWM on your phone.

Step #2

After this with rooting and installingClockworkMod Recovery on your phone, download any suitable custom ROM from XDA T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy SII forums and save the zip file on your desktop.

Step #3

After you are done shopping ROM(s), download Skyrocket conversion zip file from here and save it on your desktop.

Step # 4

Now connect your phone to the computer via USB cable and copy the ROM zip file along with Skyrocket conversion file to SD Card root.

Step # 5

Once you are done copying the ROM and conversion files to your phone, reboot your phone into recovery.

Step #6

After you are in the recovery, make a complete Nandroid backup on your phone from Backup / Restore option available.

Step # 7

Now head to the page from where you downloaded the ROM and check if the ROM requires you to clear cache and factory reset your device.

Step #8

If the ROM requires you to wipe data, then do it from available options in ClockworkMod Recovery.

Step # 9

When completed with wiping, flash / install the ROM via Install Zip from SD Card option.

Step # 10

After the installation is complete, flash / install R34P3ReX T989 Skyrocket Conversion.zip file.

Step #11

Now in the end you just need to Reboot your Skyrocket.
