Learn How-To Root and Install ClockworkMod Recovery Samsung Conquer 4G [for Windows]
If you are using Samsung’s Conquer 4G and want to Root and install ClockworkMod Recovery you are on a right place below you can see step-by-step guide for this purpose. Before you get started make sure that you have Sprint Samsung Conquer 4G SPH-D600 and don’t try this for any other device. Before you get started make sure that you have manage your back-up because below steps can damage valued data.
For this purpose you also need at least 70% battery, you also need to use the drivers, you can download them from here.

Instructions
Step 1
First of all you need to download Rooting tool from here and save the file to your PC and extract it
Step 2
From the extracted folder, run SuperOneClick.exe and enable USB Debugging by: Settings > Application > Development > USB Debugging.
Step 3
Using a USB Cable connect your device to PC and click the Root button in SuperOneClick to root the device.
Step 4
Download and install the following apps on Samsung Conquer 4G:

Then download the following files to your PC:
- ClockworkMod Recovery image for Samsung Conquer 4G from here
- Required files for flashing CWM from here
Step 6
Extract the files and using a USB cable again connect your device to PC.
Step 7
Copy both files that you have downloaded on your device to the SD card and disconnect it.
Step 8
Open the Root Explorer app on your phone and move flash_image to /data/local.
Step 9
Open Android Terminal Emulator using the following commands:
- su
- /data/local/flash_image recovery /sdcard/CWMR.img
- mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock9 /system
- mount | grep system
- chmod 444 /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
Step 10
Here I’d like to say that for some devices, the last command above will display an error message. This is not a cause for worry.

Anybody has any success on this? I have tried on my Conquer 4G, but couldn’t find the /data/local directory. I am using “Root Browser”. Please help. THanks.

PLEASE give me something other than Superoneclick, it fucking crashes every time you do anything, It gets to step 7 and fucking CRASHES.
