Learn How To Root Motorola Droid
Rooting allows you to cross the limitations of manufacture on the device, it allows you to completely customize your Android device, you can install the apps that require manufacturer permission on a rooted Android device. Here’s rooting guide for the Motorola Droid, but keep in mind that rooting will also void the warranty of device, so think carefully before you proceed.
Before you start first charge the device battery, disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps. Step #2: Unzip the RSD Lite 5.6 RAR file on desktop.
Step #3: Double click on RSD Lite 5.6 to start installation.
Step #4: Once you’ve installed the RSD Lite 5.6 open it.
Step #5: Plug your smartphoen to PC using USB cable and as soon PC detect the device, hold down the power button to turn it off.
Step #6: Open the slide keyboard of your smartphone, if your device is facing with USB cable, press the rocker button at the bottom and then press and hold down the power button for five seconds, your device will enter into bootloader mode.
Step #7: Locate the .rdf which you’ve downloaded in first step and click on click Start in the RSD Lite app. Once the progress bar shows up 100%, if it shows that “in progress” but the bar is completed, it’s done.
That’s it, reboot the device and if you see the Superuser app in app drawer, you’ve now rooted device. Enjoy!
